Dear Editor;

Why is HIGH GEAR put out so infrequently? I have enjoyed the several copies I have seen, and they appear to be improving steadily. Can we expect some more of you, or are you out of business?

R.L. Lakewood

Dear R.L.; We are not out of business, as you can see. We have had problems with enough people to do the work, and enough advertisers to pay for the paper. You get this free, but it costs plenty! We will be maintaining a monthly printing from now on, and we hope to please you with our new format. Thanks.

Editor; Two things. First, I was truely appalled at the bulletin that appeared on the front of your last issue. There is enough trouble in this city with the straights beating and killing gays, without you giving anyone ideas. If you want to report anything, make it something positive! Second, why is it that all you seem to be able to print is news about Fellowship Church? Is this a church paper? If so, then do us a favor, and keep it out of the bars. Some of us enjoy being gay the way we are, and don't need militant gay liberation thrown in our faces, or in our city.

Dear J.R.;

Two things. First, we print any news we find that we feel people should know about. That bulletin relieved a lot of people's mind about a problem that affected them directly. Mainly, crime on our streets. Second, we print any news that we feel people should know about. Fellowship Community Church is doing some wonderful things for our community, and its' people, and its pastor, are working hard so that people like you can live the way you want, without the fears that plague the gay community in our society. If you, or another group, does anything like F.C.C., we'll report that, if you let us know about it. Everyone needs liberation, some of us more than others, and from the sound of it, you should be first on the list!
